The special edition Bugatti Veyron is aptly described as the fastest artwork you will see today. The custom supercar features a lot of scientific and mathematic formula that were actually used for its development. These numbers and symbols run along the front fascia and the flanks of the Veyron Grand Sport Venet. The special formulas are painted over the special rust-like body finish.
Inside, a similar theme as the outside is used. The leather trim and the dashboard panels also have that rusted appearance.
The supercar manufacturer did not touch the engine of the vehicle. So you still have the turbocharged 8.0L W16 that produces that monstrous 1,001 horses that can bring the car to a top speed of 405 kilometers an hour. The cars top speed is tamed a bit to 360km/h when the roof of the Bugatti is removed. If you opt of the cloth roof, the Grand Sport Venet can just go up to 130 km/h, and there is not just no point of spending all your money and you can’t go lightning fast, just saying.
Made in China. Most likely that will be the reality for most vehicles in the world as China is set to overtake in Europe as the biggest car manufacturer today.
Just give it some time before the biggest economy in the world rules the car industry. Europe may not have the structural woes but in a deep financial crisis, things might go at a faster rate. According to financial experts, China’s car production will be higher than that of Europe this year. This will be a first time in history.
Looking at the specifics, China is set to roll out around 19.6 million light commercial and passenger vehicles from its assembly lines in 2013. Europe will most likely produce 18.3 million vehicles in the same categories. The figures jumped up for China since it only produced 17.8 million in 2012 while it was quite a dropped for Europe at 18.9 million last year.
What makes the figures astounding is that Europe’s numbers even include the production of vehicles from nearby countries like Turkey and Russia.
It is worth taking note that some of the biggest producers in China are linked to if not European, Japanese, or American brands like Toyota, General Motors, Volkswagen Group, and BMW.
The projected sales of Nissan for the month of October is on track to beat its previous biggest sales of 86,626 vehicles back in 2004. Honda is also poised to break their October sales record of 114,799.
According to an automotive industry analyst, the record-breaking sales figures is a testament to how American buyers are appreciating refreshed and redesigned car models. The Altima and the Accord have been big hits for both Japanese car manufacturers for quite a long time. Both vehicle models have been improved through the years and the consumers are responding positively.
Experts say that the October sales are seen to be roughly 4.6% lower than the September figures but they will be around 11.1% higher than the sales numbers of October last year.
Based on forecasts, Chrysler and General Motors are the only major car manufacturers that will see their market shares drop this month.
Analysts are saying that automakers may have their bad months but the decline is surely not helping Chrysler nor General Motors. Their performance are under scrutiny after being bailed out by the government. Barack Obama was re-elected but the people and certain sectors are keeping their eyes on the performance of the car manufacturers.
We do not hear much about the Moscow Auto Show but we cannot deny the fact that Russia is among the mots important key markets for luxury carmakers. Jaguar did not roll out any concept vehicles in Moscow but it released its new all wheel drive system that will be used for the 2013 XJ and XF models using its supercharged V-6 powerplant.
The new AWD system has been configured to continuously monitor the throttle, traction, brake, and steering inputs so it can optimize the grip in any kind of driving condition
Under normal driving conditions, the power of the engine is sent to the rear wheels to create handling dynamics that Jaguar customers are used to. In case the traction becomes compromised, say while driving on snow, the torque is directed to all corners to provide the much needed grip.
This setup results to a sedan that rolls on the road like how a Jaguar will do on normal conditions plus providing that extra margin of handling and safety when the conditions are less favorable. The safety of the occupants are further ensured with the electronic stability control.
The brand also unveiled its Speed Pack for the Jaguar XFR. The option brings the top speed of the car to 174mph. It also revises the parameter of the engine and the transmission to give it a better throttle response and smoother, faster shifts.
The XFR Speed Pack also brings to the picture a front aerodynamic splitter, and a redesigned rear wing to give the car a more potent look.

The Aston Martin Vantage roadster and coupe get these changes and improvements. The starting price for the refreshed Aston Martin Vantage starts at £84,995. There are no major changes to the Vantage S now priced at £99,995.
The Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 Superveloce is considered to be one of the most prestigious sports cars on the market. The Superveloce is actually a step up from the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 that was considered ahead of its time. The new Superveloce is even lighter than the original model that it derives from, which gives it even better performance. The Superveloce has a weigh reduction of around 220 pounds from its mother model. In addition, the V12 engine has been increased to produce around 670 horsepower. With these new aspects taken into consideration, it means that the car can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in around 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of around 212 miles per hour, which is one of the highest speeds that any performance car can reach. The car is available in a six speed manual transmission that allows for the car to perform at its best by any driver.
The weight reduction is probably the most significant aspect that people are interested in. How exactly did they shed 220 pounds? The answer is that they completely reworked everything on the car. The engine kit shows off a recalibrated ECU, a brand new sports filter, and a customized exhaust system to boost the V10 engine’s power. The total power boost is from 580HP to 700HP, and 650 Nm of torque to 790Nm. With these engine mods, the RS6 can now reach a top speed of 205 mph.
The package is completed with a new set of 22” alloy wheels. The lightweight wheels were produced by Schmidt and covered by high speed tires fitted at 265/30 22 all-around. The price of the package has not been announced yet, and reviewers note that the tuner is fairly new in the industry.
United Kingdom’s car specialist Arden proposes a few retro-fitted face lifting changes to the Range Rover ARF/10. The proposed modifications will be unwrapped at the Tuning World Bodensee Auto Show which runs from May 13 to May 16 2010. While the Range Rover market is excited about Arden’s teases, the tuning company is keeping all design details under wraps for now.
They have already released a number of photos to the press revealing significant cosmetic changes. Aside from the cosmetic alterations, though, consumers can expect more in terms of performance enhancements. While power train specifics aren’t available yet, Arden did release the new Rover’s initial body kit.
Among the exterior changes applied by Arden are new front and rear bumpers, front daylight-running LED lights, a brand new roof spoiler, redesigned side skirts, modified sports exhaust system, and altered 22-inch wide rims. Consumers are also guessing that the package will include a modified ECU, a more powerful braking system, and a brand new Vmax Chip.

The financial stability of the company was brought about by an influx of investments from parties who believe in the viability of the brand and its product. Aptera is also waiting for the decision of the Department of Energy for a five year loan amounting to $184 million via the Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Loan Program.
