Engineers and designers injected a lot of changes to the entry level Vantage which they borrowed from its sibling Vantage S variant.

The powerplant stays the same using the V8 4.7L heart which pumps out 426 horsepower and it is still coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox. However this time the six speed Sportshift transmission is replaced with the Sportshift II 7-speed gearbox of the Aston Martin Vantage S.

The chassis was also upgraded with quicker steering (15:1 from 17:1), larger brakes (front discs in from are 380mm cast iron with 6 piston calipers and equipped with assist for hill start), and wider tires.

There are tweaks on the looks category too with like a redesigned lower bumper with aerodynamic splitter and a bigger air intake. Looking from the rear end of the car, there is a new diffuser and side sills.

The Aston Martin Vantage roadster and coupe get these changes and improvements. The starting price for the refreshed Aston Martin Vantage starts at £84,995. There are no major changes to the Vantage S now priced at £99,995.

The weight reduction is probably the most significant aspect that people are interested in. How exactly did they shed 220 pounds? The answer is that they completely reworked everything on the car. They started with making the engine and transmission lighter, but yet still able to deliver the performance that everyone expects. They also took the time to make sure that the interior is designed of lightweight materials.

To those who have no experience with the Murcielago, they may see little difference between the past models and the present Superveloce model. However, there are small differences that most any Lamborghini enthusiast will immediately notice. First, the front end has been given a totally new look. The front end is pulled forward when compared to past models, and is finished in a matte black color whereas past models would be the same color of the entire body. There is also a front spoiler that is attached to the front, while the front brakes have an air intake for ventilation purposes that is more defined that past models. The front fenders also have these air intakes that are designed to cool off the brakes more efficiently.

The rear end of the Superveloce is completely redesigned as well. The most notable aspect is the wide flat exhaust pipes that are steaming from the rear end. The rear spoiler that is located on the trunk plays an important role in the dynamics of the car, as well as proving to be a visual aspect as well. The entire body is made from the same ingredients that professional race cars use. The frame is a tough and strong steel, while the body is made of a carbon fiber composition. The doors are made of sheet steel and the interior is made of a carbon fiber composition. The combination of all these products, give the light weight that make performance even more successful.

Though the Lamborghini makers did reduce the weight of the Superveloce, one thing that they did not change was performance. In this aspect, the Superveloce is the best performing car that they have designed. It is certain that the elements that they used to arrive at this car will become technology that other automakers will use in their own cars.

The engine kit shows off a recalibrated ECU, a brand new sports filter, and a customized exhaust system to boost the V10 engine’s power. The total power boost is from 580HP to 700HP, and 650 Nm of torque to 790Nm. With these engine mods, the RS6 can now reach a top speed of 205 mph.

The package is completed with a new set of 22” alloy wheels. The lightweight wheels were produced by Schmidt and covered by high speed tires fitted at 265/30 22 all-around. The price of the package has not been announced yet, and reviewers note that the tuner is fairly new in the industry.

The Audi RS6 was originally launched by the company in 2002. Then, it came out again in 2008 with quite a number of performance enhancements. The latest generation of the RS6 production-line is powered by a Lamborghini V10 engine according to Audi Talk. It can sprint from zero to 60mph in 4.1 seconds, and since the latest tuning from Reifen Koch gives us no updates about the engines sprinting prowess, we’re guessing that nothing much has changed.

Previous tune ups for the RS6 include the RS6 Clubsport created by MTM, a Wettsteten/Ingolstadt tuner.

They have already released a number of photos to the press revealing significant cosmetic changes. Aside from the cosmetic alterations, though, consumers can expect more in terms of performance enhancements. While power train specifics aren’t available yet, Arden did release the new Rover’s initial body kit.

Among the exterior changes applied by Arden are new front and rear bumpers, front daylight-running LED lights, a brand new roof spoiler, redesigned side skirts, modified sports exhaust system, and altered 22-inch wide rims. Consumers are also guessing that the package will include a modified ECU, a more powerful braking system, and a brand new Vmax Chip.

Aside from these scarce details, Arden has remained mum about the subject. With less than a week to go until the Tuning Show, the wait shouldn’t be too long.

Previously, Arden made a few tweaks on the Jaguar XKR Convertible. The modifications for the Jag were more performance-based than cosmetic, with a 30HP raise on the Jaguar’s supercharged engine. The Jaguar also underwent a suspension upgrade, and was given a redesigned chassis to improve its drive.

Even with the spare information about the new Arden Range Rover, we’re pretty sure that the Range Rover modifications won’t be less impressive, especially considering the original by Land Rover is already… pretty awesome.

According to CEO of Aptera Paul Wilbur, the company is a true start-up with everything developed from a fresh slate. The 2e is a product of great engineering and their dedicated workforce. He assures consumers that the Aptera 2e will live up to the quality, safety, and efficiency that the company is claiming.

The company is aware that they need to get everything right so they have signed up and hired the best and the brightest of the automotive industry.

The financial stability of the company was brought about by an influx of investments from parties who believe in the viability of the brand and its product. Aptera is also waiting for the decision of the Department of Energy for a five year loan amounting to $184 million via the Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Loan Program.

The top executives disclosed that they have only one more funding hurdle to overcome and once that deal is done, the public can expect the 2e to launch officially by next year.

The 2e is being marketed as a car with at a mileage of 200 mpg while depending on the lithium ion battery pack that is phosphate based sourced from the A123 Systems. That’s an unseen fuel efficiency, and we love it!

The prototype on the 2e is also scheduled to appear in Michigan for the Progressive Insurance Automotive X PRIZE. The car will be subjected to evaluation, testing, and judging.

The four electric vehicles follow a lithium ion battery setup similar to the one used by Nissan Leaf. The new fully EV concept cars are tagged with the ZE moniker which stands for Zero Emissions. Each vehicle features different configurations appealing to different segments of the market.

The smallest of the new brood is the Twisty ZE. It is a two-seater EV that features good performance and handling similar to trendy small motorcycles designed to help one move around the city streets.

The Zoe ZE is another compact vehicle that is designed for comfortable rides when one goes to short rides on a daily basis. The interiors are specifically designed for a relaxed driving environment.

Next on the EV extravaganza of Renault is the Fluence ZE. According to Club Renault, this is the most “normal” looking car in display among the bunch. The Fluence ZE will be marketed by Better Place as a for lease vehicle where consumers will only pay for the mileage that they consume. The rental program will kick off in June 2011 with 100,000 vehicles rolling off the roads of Denmark and Israel.

There is also the refaced Kangoo BeBop ZE. This is the EV version of Renaults hit delivery van. The design lines revise the straight sides into more modern, dramatic curves.

Renault is among the car manufacturers which are very aggressive in the race to dominate the electric vehicle market.
